Boar’s Head Ham, elemental cheese, kerrygold salted butter, and a fresh baked baguette from a local bakery. I had a sandwich similar to this daily in Paris on my honeymoon and every so often I need to try and recreate it as close as I can manage.

I meant emmental cheese, but my phone decided against it. Though now I want to taste elemental cheese.

One time I was in Seattle and stopped in this French bakery at pike place to grab a bite for breakfast, and I didn’t want anything sweet, so all the pastries were a no for me. I didn’t know what else to get, so they recommended a ham and butter on their crunchy baguette. I had never heard of a sandwich of just ham and butter but I was so hungry I just said OK. It was soooo good. So simple, but so tasty
#1 underrated sandwich of all time. It’s so simple but so good if you do it right. I had two just this week.
