Argentinians apparently have a very different doneness scale than I do.

I would send it back. That’s not medium rare in any country.

This is probably because Argentinian’s cook their beef well done normally so they aren’t sure how to do med rare

How do you say “Moo” in Spanish?

That’s a frozen steak, thrown on a skillet and seared for a 45 seconds each side.

Had the exact experience at a Portuguese joint around here.

Also. To the people on here talking about Argentinians cook their steaks well done – just fucking wut?

As an Argentinian that is not how we eat steaks haha

  7. NOVABearMan

A good vet could probably get that thing to moo again

I’m going to Argentina next week – I hope they do better than this!

Side note this is oddly impressive. It’s SO raw in the center yet moderately cooked on the outside

Not sure whats worse. The cook on that filet or ordering a filet at an Argentinian restaurant.

    Like Gordon Ramsey once said.
    “It’s RAW!”

what did it look like after they cooked it?

  12. I found this out the hard way in Europe haha. Asking for medium there is the equivalent of rare here in the states. I ordered a medium burger and it was essentially tartare with a nice sear lol. Since this is an Argentinian steak house maybe they have a similar philosophy with their steak temps. Good news is that you can always ask to throw it back on the grill for a bit longer. Too rare imo is never a a problem just needs to get to a higher temp sometimes

They shaved off the horns and slapped it’s ass

Gordon Ramsay: “it’s fucking raw!! Oh my lord…”
