sooo my friends and me (mostly them, haha) made some yummy cheesy tteokbokki with ramen noodles a few weeks ago and i really liked it, but i can‘t handle spice!! so i tried searching up non spicy recipes but nothing really came up.

i think the ramen were the main reason for the spicyness since it had gochujang sauce in it.

i want to make a cheesy/creamy tteokbokki again just without the spice and since i‘m also not really familiar with cooking and what sauces etc to use instead of gochujang so it still tastes good, i was hoping someone could tell me alternatives to make a nice non-spicy cheesy tteokbokki🫶

i was wondering if adding cheese and milk only is too bland.. i didnt try it yet so i dont know

thank you already!

Royal court tteokbokki has a soy sauce base and is not spicy, Rose tteokbokki is similar to regular recipes, but it is creamier and is usually much more mild.

You can add a tonne of mozzarella or cheese slices towards the end for extra cheesiness. I’ve also seen a “Carbonara” Tteokbokki and Pesto version, though to make it authentically Korean, you’d have to make them sweeter than they’re traditionally made.
