1/4 cup butter/margarine 1/4 cup flour 2 cups milk 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon sugar Creole seasoning to taste 1 (15 oz) can peas, drained 1-2 cans (6 oz) tuna Bread
Over medium heat, melt butter in a pan and whisk in flour until it’s mixed together well. Slowly stir in the milk and beat out any clumps. Stir until thickened then add in the sugar, pepper and creole seasoning. Cook and stir the sauce until it begins to boil. Turn the heat to low and add the peas and the tuna. Stir gently just to heat it up a little bit. Serve it over buttered toast, rice or noodles.
