



Choice grade all natural chick roast from H-E-B. SPG and Chud Rub for seasoning. Smoked on the offset at 275 for about 6 hours. Foil boat after 6 and 1.5 hour rest. Safe to say I’ll definitely be doing it again. I already bought another prime one at $3.97/lb to save for the next one

How was the texture? I tried this once and it was pretty good but a little too dry and not as tender as brisket. Not sure why because I haven’t done it but that one time.
I pretty much cooked it like you tbh. I always go 275.

Dude I just did a chuck roast tonight as well. So good!
Looks good. Slice super thin and smoke a couple onions with it bathed in French onion soup and make French dips.
