I know the large slices are jalapeños but what are those slightly different colored peppers?

They look like green Thai chilies to me.

  2. Dumb question, but are those not Jalapeños?

Definitely jalapeños.. I’ve never seen thai chilies that big and I worked at a grocery store for like four years.. I mean they could be? But they’d be a special type of breed lol

Better hope that’s a mild jalap or that’s gonna be a tough sit

The large slices are jalapeños, but the small green whole chilies appear to be Thai bird chilies that are pickled…. I get the red version of these at my local Asian supermarket when fresh ones aren’t available

Little ones are either green Birds Eye Chili’s or little shoshito peppers.

The shoshitos are like playing Russian roulette with peppers. 99/100 aren’t spicy at all, but every once in a while you get one that’s a little over your average jalapeño in terms of spice.

Those pickled peppers look a lot like sports peppers

Could be thin serranos. I see them in at the market advertised as such

Those are exactly duberist capsaicin and can only be found 3 months out of the year on a small island off the Patagonia west coast.
