I had this incredible meal in Kyoto, Japan at an oyakodon shop and am deeply craving it right now. Anyone know of a spot in LA where I can get a decent version of any of these dishes?! (Oyakodon, chicken nanban, and/or tamago kake gohan)

[This was the Kyoto restaurant](https://maps.app.goo.gl/CqoyssMnvdZsKv627?g_st=ic) by the way, it was one of my favorite meals we had on the trip!

TOT in Little Tokyo and probably all of the Kagura locations have chicken nanban. Torigoya has it too but it’s just a side dish.
Probably mitsuwa…specifically the one in mar vista.
Midoh?
Might have luck at a mitsuwa food court?
Torrance/ Gardena have plenty of restaurant that serve menu look like this

Oh if you know where there’s Japanese curry on the west side plz lmk 🙏🏻
Kouraku in little Tokyo. Not that restaurants aren’t allowed to serve raw eggs in the US. Though nothing stops you from bringing your own I guess!
Fukagawa in Gardena
Azay in Little Tokyo does a great Japanese breakfast… though you’re probably not going to find a raw egg yolk like that outside of Japan. Very few restaurants buy eggs that could safely be eaten like that in the US!
not this exact meal
but go to Sachi Teriyaki House just to experience some bomb food
Suehiro Cafe? Maybe Furaibo for fried chicken
Sawtelle or Torrance
on the westside, Taiko or Yabu
Daichan
Ducks Arcadia hands down
Looks like something you can find in Mitsuwa. If anything Torrance probably has a lot of restaurants that would serve something similar
Little Tokyo in Downtown LA?
Just made oyakodon —as easy as making scrambled eggs, if you’re in a pinch!
