This seems like one of those nutritional science areas that is not yet settled or still changing, maybe even with conflicting information (and many market influences, I suppose).

    What? You didn’t mention anything other than link Omega-6 wiki.

    Seed oils that generally high in Omega-6 are, I would argue, much better for you than oil/fat high in saturated fat. However, the problem is the over abundance of seed oils in almost ever processed food imaginable.

    Before the processes were invented to extract these oils, most diets were balanced between Omega-3 and Omega-6, now they aren’t. There is some interesting evidence that this isn’t great for us and is an area of ongoing research.

    Just avoid processed foods and deep frying, and it isn’t really an issue.
