My first attempt at recreating these potatoes was a failure, the steps I followed said to have no water in a pan and so I burnt the pan so I just ate the potatoes they were just like regular boiled potato’s just a bit hard.
Every step is a lesson I burnt plastic under the pan too

You… burnt the pan? What do you mean by that? And you had plastic between the pan and the burner?

Try tossing the potaoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic and cooking them in the oven on a sheet pan. Comes out great. Works best with the waxier potato varieties (red or yellow) instead of russets.
Those are fingerling potatoes in the first pic. Is that what you used?

that fish and vegetables look horrific. The cucumber looks like it could give you ecoli, and the tomatoes look like they’re old too. The wrinkly potatoes would be old and likely stone cold too. So I can assume the entire dish is served cold because there’s no juice or steam coming from the salmon either. I can tell you how to make this recipe easy.
– steam or boil new potatoes. Drain, then set aside until cool
– make a small slaw salad
– slice cucumber, tomato and lemon
– cook skinless salmon in a skillet or on a grill until cooked through. remove from pan and set aside until cool
– Once ingredients are cool, assemble on a plate similar to the picture. wrap in cling film and put it in the fridge for 2 days minimum.
– serve.

Okay so when you run out of water while steaming. You either need more water for loger cook time or a better lid.

So I’ve done what your looking for many times and you get a large pan that you can boil water in (I used turkey stock and water) you then put your potatoes in the pan uncovered and boil the life out of that pan,the water in the potatoes is reconstituted with the stock mix and when it’s done the pan should be dry,add a small amount of oil and give it a quick pan fry

How did you burn plastic under the pan?
I think your best bet is to watch some basic cooking vids on YouTube.
