Our box for this week arrived just a bit ago, and unfortunately I received a leaking pack of porkchops. HF gave me an almost $10 credit, which is great, but I’m wondering if the porkchops are safe to eat. The hole is in the very corner of the pack and is seemingly very tiny, almost pinhole sized. I’m going to be real dissappinted if I need to go out and buy porkchops to make a specific meal. 😂

The second picture points out the hole in the corner

As long as you properly cook the pork chops you likely should be fine. Just make sure you smell the pork and if it smells off from its typical smell then I wouldn’t risk it.

It should be absolutely fine. Sometimes I think the ice bags rub against the meat packs in transport and cause some minor tears.

Professional chef who uses hello fresh for sustenance here,

Do NOT eat ANYTHING whose packaging is compromised. I would also throw out anything not individually wrapped in the box you received. No telling what got raw pork juice on it. You can’t tell if it was contaminated or not. Parasites are NOT the move.

Yes it’s pork loin I think actually it’s safe for a long time if it turns grey start worrying and you should maybe go to a butchers and trust them it’s fresh eventually. I’m mean if you want ya money back by all means blag it but that is more than safe it’s fucking hand fed basically. Go vegan…Oooh
