Would never have suspected North Dakota in the lead, nor Hawaii so low

  2. Spadoinkle24

There is no way this is true for ND. Having lived there for way longer then I wanted to…. This data comes from Instacart. The majority of the population can’t even have an instacart delivery. This data is very skewed.

I’m having trouble believing Florida is so low. I know it’s just me buying hot sauce, but I don’t use instacart.

  4. EfficientAd1821

This is also only info from instacart so it’s not really an accurate representation of population

  5. ConcertCareless6334

Yeah, I doubt the accuracy of this. Only looking at Instacart sales cuts out a large portion of the population

  6. <looks at Louisiana>

    This chart is fallacious.

West Virginia being as high as it is, is probably from me and a few guys I know 😂 most people around here think mayonnaise is spicy

  8. CoolingKing

I’m not trusting any data from instacart… incomplete to say the least.

I expected more in Texas/ the South. And I’m surprised by ND.

Although this is only Instacart purchases which isn’t a representative sample and likely skews younger and more urban.

Via instacart. Probably not a representative sample.

This index is incorrect. I know several states that buy more hot sauce than this map shows. And I have been to ND numerous times. They don’t eat hot sauce like this. Jalapeno poppers there are just potato fritters with a very small amount of chopped seedless jalapenos. Don’t believe everything you see online

In NM we call it “Green Chile” not Hot sauce and for us to ranked as 2nd, behind frickin North Dekota is absolute heresy

The data retrieval methodology is flawed at best.
