Recipe:
I recommend you use a large pot for this recipe( at least 3 qt), mine is a 5 QT pot.
•1 tbsp Badia Roasted Garlic powder
•1 tbsp onion powder
• Salt/Pepper to your taste
•636g Chicken Breast (with Fat trimmed off)
•252g Celery chopped
•288g Carrots chopped
•262g White onion chopped
•9 grams minced garlic
•8 cups of chicken broth (I used a mix of organic and regular because that’s all I had. The organic broth has less calories than regular)
•170g or 6oz Barilla Protein+ Pasta
•15ml or 1 tbsp avocado oil
•Season the chicken with seasonings above and half of the avocado oil.
•Add the other half of the avocado oil and cook the chicken fully first and then shred it
• Using the same pot you cooked the chicken in add all of your veggies, garlic, onion and about a cup of the broth. Let it cook on medium heat until tender, approximately 20 mins.
•Pour the other 7 cups of chicken broth in and add your shredded chicken to the pot.
I let this cook for about an hour on medium-low heat and added the boiled pasta to the end so it’s not soggy.
Makes 8 servings, each serving 213 cal and 24g protein.
