Unfortunately, I have problems getting my meat tenderized. I’ve already collected a lot of tips from this sub, but I’m also wondering if it’s because of my crockpot. My previous slow cooker (Amazon Basic) had a water seal around the lid, but it boiled over at some point. However, the current Crockpot from the video has a lot of play and wobbles around. A water seal around the lid has never formed completely. I wonder if this means that the temperature cannot be maintained properly.

Should a slowcooker form a water seal around the lid?

one of mines is a small russell hobbs, has sae woggle room and when hot a water seal is formed. no trouble at all, but as its lid has no steam hole, it can become noisy when bubbling hot

Every one that I’ve ever owned had a loose-ish lid.

Doesn’t matter. It does what it’s supposed to do. Good to go

Mine is the same but no problems. And mine is actually second hand. Have had it for 4 years now.
