I know it’s a chain, but Fire Bowl consistently has good egg rolls. Always hot, crispy and with quality ingredients.

I always thought those real egg rolls were an east coast thing. I could never find them here, only those spring rolls. I miss the bubbly egg rolls.

I’ve honestly given up on trying to find real egg rolls at restaurants out here, I’ve settled on crab rangoons as the closest thing to the bubbly crunch I crave.
Tho the frozen egg rolls at heb are decent enough

Depends; do you have any stolen VCRs?

Dong Nai does Vietnamese spring rolls that have the crispy bubbly shell bc it’s rice paper. Might be just what you’re looking for, albeit slightly unexpected

Literally Jack in the Box, with Sweet & Sour sauce. They are sooo yummy.

I’m still looking for chow mein instead of lo mein. I’ve been here for a few years now and I still haven’t found any. I think it’s a regional thing. West coast has chow mein everywhere.

Lins Cafe in Leander has the real ones. Not sure about the Georgetown location never been.

This has been one of my great quests having moved to Austin from NYC 23 years ago. And, I’m as shocked to say this as you are to read it: Jack in the Box has the closest thing to NY egg rolls I’ve been able to find in Austin. Others here have already sait it. Can confirm. Wild, and sad, isn’t it??

It might be cuz I’m vietnamese, but what is on the right is indeed an egg roll. I’ve made them countless of times lol. What u see on the left can be made if you use the bad egg roll paper from heb versus buying the good brand at the asian store. I’ve never made mine without pork

Old Thousand, but I think they only have veggie ones.

China Hill On William Cannon seems to have recently added egg rolls to their menu. First Wok also has real egg rolls.

Down vote me to hell but QT has the best American eggrolls. Thank god there isn’t any in my area because I’d gain a few more pounds on those fuckers.
