I just bought a new kitchen aid slow cooker and the ceramic dish doesn’t sit flush in it’s housing and the top leaves a huge gap. Is this normal for KitchenAid’s? Bummed because I bought off America’s test kitchen rec after I started having issues with my Hamilton beach.

Idk if defective but pro tip besides mixers kitchen aid is expensive trash unfortunately. Found that out after I bought a dishwasher that’s door won’t close properly and my appliance repair man told me everything but mixers are garbage

My Kitchenaid slow cooker works great. Idk if yours is defective though.

  3. Call the company and talk with them. It doesn’t seem as though there should be that big of a gap. If you call them would you please let us know what you find out?

I recently bought that one too (also bc of the ATK’s rec) and my lid doesn’t sit flush either (but there’s not a huge gap). It doesn’t bother me much though, and I haven’t had any issues cooking with it!

This is why I don’t use the over-complicated crock pots with buttons instead of a knob. The boards on the high tech ones always mess up for me. The lights stop working, the buttons mess up, or the screen stops functioning. Meanwhile my old af simple crock pot with just a warm, low, and high knob has never failed.
