Thoughts on this? Just removed the tops of my peppers plant and big leaves appeared after 2 weeks

Why top them?

Why? They are not like tomatoes which can sprawl and become huge. I leave mine be and the big leafs come anyway, and fruits. The more branches, the more flowers and thus fruit.

I’ve heard very strong opinions for both yes and no. I topped half of mine and will see how they do.
