You can buy lead test kits for pretty cheap

I wanna say these are from the late 70s so lead wouldn’t be an issue (if it’s made in America)

I wouldn’t let this worry you. Lots of people grew up eating from these (including in your family) and did not end up with lead poisoning. If you notice that the glaze is cracked or anything when it’s clean, maybe getting your grandma a new crockpot would make a nice gift idea! I have to say, when I was looking into this subject, it seemed like a lot of the people writing alarmingly about lead in crockpots were “mom bloggers” and not actual experts. (Plus they were often pushing specific lead tests they had links to.) Congratulations on your pregnancy!

  3. I don’t care if it contains plutonium I’m using it.

As long as the glaze is in good shape it’s fine. Lots of things you buy still use lead glaze. it’s doub;e glazed (there’s glass over the lead glass) If it has chips – regardless of age – chuck it.

These babies are work horses and you can probably teach your grandkids to cook in this thing.

Probably. And asbestos. That stuff was in everything back in the day

  5. To reassure yourself get a lead test kit or even call the company. With the kit you can also test your other dishes etc.

It contains dinosaurs, that’s a fossil.

No and I would use it..I inherited one from my grandmother who passed and unfortunately it cracked on me but it was a solid piece
