I had tried them earlier in the week with a salad, and they were pretty excellent.
Today I laid them on top of some pasta with some EVOO, lemon juice, oregano, and black pepper as a protein meal. Again, tasted fantastic. Not too salty, not too smoky, and with a very savory herring flavor.
Apparently, BALTHOR is a brand of the Danish company Tulip, and they offer also a selection of cod liver; I will have to try their cod liver offerings too.
