I’m a 5’3 sedentary woman and over the course of 8 months or so I dropped from 160lbs at my heaviest down to 130lbs! I wanted to share a list of some of my favorite food items that got me there to hopefully help others find more low cal options!

– [Fiber Gourmet pasta](https://fibergourmet.com/collections/pasta) (110 cals per 56g serving); if you’re looking for a pasta substitute that actually looks and tastes like regular pasta this is for you.
– [Fiber Gourmet flour](https://fibergourmet.com/products/flour-blend) (50 cals for 1/4 cup); great for baking or when a casserole recipe calls for it
– [Whole Foods Organic Light Coconut Milk](https://www.amazon.com/365-WFM-Organic-Light-Coconut/dp/B09P4MTSCN/ref=mp_s_a_1_5_f3_0o_wf?crid=382ZA35IHMIV6&keywords=coconut+milk+sun+voi&qid=1707433150&sprefix=coconut+milk+sun+voi%2Caps%2C86&sr=8-5) (45 cals for 80ml); most coconut milk brands I find are often triple the amount of calories compared to this
– [Maesri Thai curry paste](https://www.amazon.com/Maesri-Thai-Red-Curry-Paste/dp/B005MH0P5Q) (20 cals per tablespoon); most Thai curry paste brands I found were pretty low cal
– [I can’t believe it’s not butter light](https://www.walmart.com/ip/I-Can-t-Believe-It-s-Not-Butter-Light-Spread-15-oz-Tub-Refrigerated/10306828) (35 cals per tablespoon); great butter or oil substitute
– [Hoosier Hill Big Daddy Mac Mix](https://www.amazon.com/Hoosier-Hill-Farm-Daddy-Pound/dp/B00X1LJZUG) (30 cals per serving); this is just cheese powder. I typically use it for Mac & cheese but it’s also good on popcorn!
– [Classico light Alfredo sauce](https://www.amazon.com/Classico-Creamy-Alfredo-Pasta-Sauce/dp/B007EC6VV4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=FRJ0YFFLPX3N&keywords=classico+light+alfredo+sauce&qid=1707433338&sprefix=+Classico+light+Alfredo+sauce%2Caps%2C117&sr=8-3) (25 cals for 1/4 cup)
– [Amylu andouille chicken sausage](https://amylufoods.com/chicken-sausages/no-antibiotics-chicken-sausages/andouille-chicken-sausages-abf) (110 cals per 71g link); I love these because they’re a lot bigger than other sausage brands and for lower cals

I’m sure I’m forgetting some but these were the ones that were top of mind for me! I ended up gaining back a fair portion of the weight I lost after I stopped calorie counting so I’ll be stocking up on these favorites again (and actually put effort into maintenance this time once I hit my goal weight).

Edit: included links; some of these things I buy online such as Fiber Gourmet but most things on this list I buy locally where the prices are cheaper in the store

Edit 2: I’ll be adding onto this list as more things come to mind.

This is great! Thanks for all the links too! I’ve been using some mini wontons from Costco to make a soup for lunch with shredded cabbage and chili oil. So good!

  2. larbee22

Yasss I love potstickers from Tjs! I also love pa jeon scallion pancakes- 200 calories and in the air fryer they are so good and crispy. I’d have one of those and a yogurt for lunch and be satisfied.

  3. Potatoupe

I love shin ramyun light, but wow they cost like $15 a 4 pack in my area, if it is even in stock.

Thank you for this. I will be looking into two of the items on your list, appreciate you taking the time to write this out! Congrats on your success.
