hi! i’m a senior in high school with a raging caffeine addiction and am doing an academic research project on coffee habits & perception of health. i thought i’d come on here to get a sample of fellow coffee addicts lol i would really appreciate if some people could answer my survey.

this is the general premise of my research topic:
The study aims to find a relationship between one’s coffee habits and their perception of health and ultimately answer the research question: How do one’s coffee habits relate to their perception of health? The aim of this study is to gain an understanding of the relationships that exist between perceived health and coffee as the chosen form of caffeine. It is vital to investigate this relationship as it relates to personal health in order to call into question caffeine’s prevalence in society and, more importantly, the way in which it has been embraced and depended on by certain generations.

Best of Luck. The only questions that I think most of here will struggle to answer is the making coffee at home vs ordering when most baristas will make themselves a coffee at their cafe. I equated this to “ordering” in my response but wanted to point it out. Also the lack of a Cortado on your beverage list but that’s just me nitpicking. Best of luck on your research.
Why are the questions about whether the things are similar or dissimilar to peers but not asking better or worse ?
You should add “other” options in more spots, and clarify, or add more to your “cups of coffee” definition, to include espresso vs filter coffee. Also the similar vs dissimilar questions don’t work very well, as personally I don’t know enough about the health trends of my peer group. They’re questions that will give you faulty/unclear data
Good luck on the study. I do wish you would’ve put a few questions for if people had any current or former mental issues (seizures, ADHD, etc.). Also, I feel like people in this sub-Reddit order more from specialty shops and coffee chains.
I took ur survey <3! One suggestion- i would consider changing the “in comparison to your peers” portion. It seems a little confusing- because it could be skewed either way. What I mean by this is- if the question is, do you consider your cognitive ability to be similar or dissimilar to your peers, the answer “similar” could mean two very different things. If I thought my peers to have great cognitive ability, and I also thought I did, I would
click similar. But if I personally thought my peers had awful cognitive ability, but also thought the same about myself, then I would also click similar. And as such, the results of that portion really wouldn’t be telling of anything, because each answer could mean anything. But that’s just my advice! Who knows, maybe I misunderstood the whole portion ahaha! Anyways best of luck ! <33
