I think I might start eating my second coffee of the day.

  1. I tried mixing in some coffee with my rolled oats the other day and I didn’t hate it. In fact, I think I quite like it and I’ve done it a few more times since!

    I’ll take a bowl of rolled oats, microwave them for 2 minutes with some plant based milk to soften them up. And then add about 2 or 4 oz of coffee to the bowl. From then I might add maple syrup or something to sweeten it a bit, maybe cinnamon.

    Really enjoy having the oats as a base and hits that coffee craving.

    I’ve only tried this on my 2nd cup of the day. I think I’d miss the warmth and routine if replacing the first cup.

    Like someone said, caffeine intake with food will reduce iron absorption. Wait 1 hr before or after having coffee to eat.

    I add espresso powder to my oatmeal mix when wilderness backpacking.

    I have been making my oatmeal with coffee for years. It is the only way to make it, in my opinion.
