Hello friends welcome to leg life and welcome to the Port of Los Angeles and uh you can probably tell because I’m wearing my cruise Captain wheel shirt it is Cruise day yes it is we’re about to get on the Discovery princess for a seven night cruise to the Mexican

Riviera and we’re going to bring you along for the entire thing our friends just dropped us off here at the Port we’re going to go get checked in and uh get on the Ship you can see when they drop you off here Los Angeles there are luggage Porters all out here to drop your bags off with we check in over here at the white building but look at that right behind the check-in is the Discovery Princess home for the next 7 days she’s

So pretty she is so pretty the ship not bad either so when you enter the white tent coming up to security this is what it looks like inside uh there’s a lot of lines but people are moving pretty well so the first stop is just a quick sec security

Screening now we are heading out of the white tent princess checkin that is us we’re going this way uh apparently so are a lot of people as well well we’re already done and that was so quick 2 minutes 2 minutes easily so the big line

That we saw was for people who have not completed their check-in stuff prior yeah so we there’s two lanes that’s like kind of the the blue Lane this is the Green Lane Green is you’ve entered everything you’ve entered all your documents you’re Green Lane good to go Y

And it really was 2 minutes they scanned our Medallion yep he took a look at our passports and now we can get on the ship he did tell us the rooms will be available 1:30 at the ear so we have a couple of hours before we can get into

Our room so uh let’s go get on the Discovery princess to your ship minutes after we got dropped off at the Port we are heading outside oh my my gosh so the discovery princess for those of you guys who don’t know is currently as we’re filming this

Still the newest ship in the princess Fleet next month until until next month that’s exactly right for those of you who don’t know Sher actually works for Holland America princess back home in Alaska so uh we are very excited for this cruise this will be our third Princess ship our 12th Cruise

Overall we’ve done nine cruises on Disney and now three on princess with my princess first steps on to the Discovery princess here we are that was so quick easy that might have been the easiest boarding process of any of our 12 cruises now we’re going to scan on with our

Medallions hi hello how are you I’m good thank you well here we are first look at the atrium Lobby kind of the main Hub the heart of the ship here you can see we got the I love this boat banners all the welcome aboard banners beautiful chandelier in the

Middle couple spiral staircases and oh I see someone over there we need to go say hi to look there is Stanley bear of course family’s taking photos with Stanley since we have a little bit of time to kill we’re going to grab lunch watch our safety video and we’re going

To get lunch here in the Skagway d room and on the opposite wall look at that that’s where we live Sher and this is so funny Sherry just noticed uh that is a photo by Jeff Schultz how long have we known the Schultz’s like decades uh I actually

Used to work with Jeff and that’s pretty amazing to see one of his images this one of the main dining restaurants have three of them on the ship and it’s really really nice this is the embarcation day lunch at the main dining you can see they have starters and soups

We’ve got shrimp chickpea soup Burgers I like you can just order a large plate of french fries that’s my favorite uh o a spinach and ricotta cheese ravioli that actually sounds great salmon catchet to style chicken beef tenderloin and desserts this is not a drill ice cream look at the flavors Nutella

Banana Sherry they have banana flavored ice cream if you’ve watched our channel before I am obsessed with banana ice cream on cruises that just made my whole day appetizers have been served sure Beth what’ you get the avocado and BMP looks really good I went with the anti Pasto

Plate look at that I’m very excited about this and while we sit here we are watching our safety instruction video I have mine here Sher has her here we are just sitting here watching this so that when we’re done with lunch we can go check in at our mustard State at our

Mustard station not mustard station and be good to go our main course has arrived I got the spinach and ricotta pasta ravioli I think what that was called and Adam what did you get I got the beef tenderloin that came with potatoes some broccoli cauliflower carrots and then like uh some kind of

Probably an aou gravy delish well obviously I forgot to wait I just saw banana ice cream started eating and then Sherry’s like are you going to show it so I got the banana ice cream and Sherry got the Sherry trifle yes I did just left lunch we are going to scan in at

Our mustard station and this is the princess live cafe look how nice that is they got a bar right out there we came out here on Deck number 16 at the very back of the ship you can see court stuff all around us and they have this wake

View pool just a little tiny pool here at the back of the ship you can see they have a bar back here as we’re exploring the ship we decided to walk through the buffet and the last Princess cruise ship we were on was the Grand and it’s one of the

Smaller ships one of the older ships the buffet here is so much nicer obviously we didn’t have lunch here but as we’re walking through the buffet like the pastry shop area it’s display only but those look amazing that’s literally the biggest pretzel I’ve ever seen in my life we

Just stepped out on the pool deck for the first time there’s one pool over here I think there’s another Pool over there big beautiful open area first of all you look really happy I am really happy second of all what are your thoughts on the ship it’s so pretty yeah

Really is can’t wait to see the rest of it one thing I really enjoy about Princess is they have this like glass walkway area that goes out over the side of the ship and it all look at this is don’t like I feel like most of the

Cruise is me trying to convince Sherry that it’s okay to walk out here not and her being like no it’s not we just found a place to sit for a little bit we just ordered our first drink uh we do have the Plus Package uh here on the ship so

It includes things like uh gratuiti it includes um all drinks $15 or less so specialty coffees bottles of water adult beverages beers wines that kind of stuff it includes Wi-Fi um all of that so we got it on our last Princess Cruise and really liked it yep so we did it again

Time sure did uh so we ordered a couple of my ties because it just felt like an appropriate way to kick off our cruise so a couple things if you’re new to our Channel maybe you just found us from the series uh we have been cruising since

Entire Discovery princess Mexico cruise but for us it is my tie time to a great cruise week yes clink tastes like a cruise drink it tastes like a cruise drink so once you’re on board and you sign into the app and you’re connected to the internet pretty much everything

Is controlled booked and handled through the app at least for us there might be other ways to do it but this is what works for us um you can see this is the homepage where you can see your entire schedule for things you have to do uh

You can view guides for each of the port you can learn more about the spa uh they have a really cool thing so with the medallions which we are wearing these handy dandy little things around our neck it is how you get in your room it’s how you pay for things but they

Also uh can deliver things right to you so if we were to want let’s say some food we don’t cuz we just ate I could order a traditional New York cheesecake and they would bring it to me based on where I’m at on the ship so I don’t have

To be in our room they will find me on the ship because of The Medallion which is I think pretty darn awesome um also you can click on Journey there’s an entire ship map right here you can change the floors all of that but then

Also there’s a a ship schedule um so I want to see the entire schedule and this shows everything that is going on that I have like harded or basically added to our schedule over here is everything so this is every single thing that is going on

Today on the ship there is so much like look at that everything you just saw from piano and vocal stuff to Lottery to 70s music hour with DJ Calvin karaoke house band like live music a slots tournament in the casino there’s a Fiesta Latina party in the pza there’s a

Comedian like there’s as much as you could possibly want to do or if you’re more like Sherry and you just want to like hang out and read and relax there’s lots of quiet spots to find that so everything is pretty much controlled through here you can also chat with the

Crew which is pretty handy so just wanted to give you a quick show of the app know what to expect um this actually is really helpful um while cruising we’re heading to our room now cuz we think it’s going to be open and look how nice these hallways are the room doors

Different colors I know I love that and then they have lots of different photos hey that’s Alaska that’s cool as Sher walked up and unlocked because of The Medallion he said hello Sher you unlock it for me so here we go we are in an inside State Room uh Sherry’s favorite

Type of State Room you guys know this because of how well she sleeps dark dark dark dark and quiet it’s like a cave it’s like a bare hibernated in a cave and I’ve got to say so far this is the most modern ship that we have been on of all

The ships we’ve cruised and everything is very nice and new and we’ll show you that over the course of the next several videos videos maybe the nicest room actually I’d say for sure the nicest room that we’ve stayed in as far as decor and stuff let me show you when you first

Walk in you’ll see that we are in a sideways inside State room and look at how nice this is it looks like a modern Hotel bed mhm with look at this just like a nice headboard wall area love the lights up top and you will notice USB Outlets

In each of the lamps which I think is perfect for next to the bed there’s our front door you can see we have giant TV oh look there’s a Sherry best amenity in the history of cruising uh nice little desk area you can see down here we’ve

Got a little fridge which is nice here is the hair dryer which is out here by the desk area and then just a bunch of open drawers which is cool nice chair actually like a really nice big open area here we’ve got couple of outlets at the desk which is nice apparently we

Also have voicemail already so we’ll check that a little bit later um on here this is kind of your welcome to princess sort of thing tells you a little bit about Wi-Fi how to get connected um things that are available for food drinking and then in here are our

Tickets for our shore Excursion already in a couple of days our tequila tasting there’s our shore Excursion ticket love that we have that and then this is the other stuff that’s in there you can see welcome aboard the discovery princess so happy you’re here um this shows some of

The different things in the buffet that we walked through actually look at this this is really cool so in the world fresh marketplace which again is the buffet um sailway and Bavarian dinner so tonight the dinner they have a traditional German cold cut sausage freshly made spitzel and cabbage um

Tomorrow night is Captain welcome in Italian Corner Cabo we have a Brazilian dinner in maiton it is an All-American Corner barbecue chicken meatloaf Fried Chicken Porto varda is um oh my gosh a Mexican themed dinner at se is Gala dinner Greek night and then uh the last day is Mongolian stir-fried noodles so

Like different themes in the buffet each night I not complaining about that that’s awesome this also is our daily listing so kind of what I showed you in the app as far as the schedule they also give you a printed version of that every single day with ours of all of the bars

All of the dining so there’s that very helpful what do you think of the state room so far I love it I do too let’s keep showing them okay there’s a gigantic mirror uhuh which I love hello I’m Adam and then down those these right here yeah more storage space the beds

Are you can get so we have a queen bed you can get it as two twins um and the beds are high enough off the ground you can fit your suitcases in there we don’t have our suitcases yet not yet but they’ll fit under there once we get them and unpack

Which is nice cuz then they’re out of the way exactly and then right here is Closet in front of us and one thing I really like I have not seen this before is the other bar area down there so there’s a hanging bar hanging bar hanging bar you can see lots of hangers

Which I love hopefully we don’t need those at all and then over here there’s there is so much storage space in the ship there’s so much storage which I love cuz we can put literally everything away and just put our empty suitcases into the bed and have all of the floor

Space it’s great because look at this all open and then but wait there’s more like look at there’s the safe it is this is way more storage space than we need yeah it’s great which is crazy because inside State rooms um they’re not huge and so you need to utilize space real

Well and they’ve done that yeah all right let’s show the bathroom so when you open the door this is what it looks like you can see actually I really like this look at this like even just stuff like the tile along the bottom I also

Love a big like vanity top lots of place to lay out our toiletries which I love of course does with hand soap comes with lotion you can see we’ve got towels there comes with a toilet very helpful um in here is a shower you can see it’s got shampoo conditioner um actually no

Shampoo conditioner and shower gel but one thing I really love well first of all I like the shower head that goes up and down cuz I can raise it up for me cuz I’m tall Sherry can raise it down for her cuz she’s less tall um short

Okay um there’s that to put like your own shampoo on I love this little ledge right here because when I’m drying off at the end of the shower I can just like put my foot up there how that handy when you’re shaving your legs I am not

Planning on shaving my legs this cruise but I am but you never know how it’s going to go with a drink package you never know what’s going to happen you never know that’s true right and each room does have thermostat in there you can turn it all the way up to hot

Definitely not let’s turn it down to cool perfect well I got to say without question nicest inside State Room we’ve ever stayed in yes great it it is so glad we did debate about getting a balcony MH uh or an ocean view for this cruise we decided to

Stick with what we know that we love which is or which is an inside I’m glad we did me too okay we’re noticing another thing that we really love about this room so some State rooms especially inside State rooms um there’s not much space next to the bed like you kind of

Have to like turn sideways and scooch MH but this is like so much like like there’s so much space over here there’s even like a gap between the nightstand but I was telling Sherry the reason for that Gap is that when this is two twin

Beds the way they make up the room is that they push this bed all the way to the wall that bed all the way to that wall and they bring the two nightstands in the middle and so there’s like a bigger walkway with two nightstands between the two beds which makes sense

Does make sense but it makes it so there’s actually room on each side of the bed to walk which is nice yeah we’re hanging out in the room and heard some noise outside and sure enough two of our suitcases have arrived uh so Sherry has

Her stuff and this is kind of our other little bag still waiting on my suitcase but we can at least start getting unpacked now just as we finished unpacking Sherry suitcase my suitcase came that also totally unpacked oh I do want to show you cuz this was really

Funny we were laughing at how our luggage tag on this is that we are Disney Cruise Line Castaway club members as we get on a Princess cruise ship it is 3 3:00 MH we are completely unpacked y settled into our room we’ve had lunch we’ve had our first

Drink I want to show them how everything looks so behind Sher over here we have everything put away you can see here’s my side of stuff also down here we have our laundry hamper that’s something that we bring try to bring every Cruise cuz having a place put dirty laundry is just

So nice we have our laundry hamper down there here’s Sherry stuff dresses all that kind of stuff her shoes down there my shoes down there and I got some shorts over there and in here we do have some stuff but you guys look all of these for

The most part are empty there’s so much storage it’s crazy that on an inside State Room even for a week I feel like there’s so much empty space yeah very strange all right let’s put that suitcase under the bed okay and just like that our sure cute little feet um

Just like that all of our suitcases are put away yep and vacation has already started but now it feels now it feels like we’re ready to actually settle in because we’re everything’s put away we just like we’re not living out of suitcases for the next week M I love it

So here we are at the sailaway party it’s going to be starting here soon you can see they got the DJ got the big screen and uh the ship has filled up folks welcome aboard the beautiful Discovery princess as we sit sale for a 7day Mexican trip who’s

1,350 from members and they all come from over 60 nationality and they are all here to make sure that your loacation is going to be memorable I’m looking forward to meet you all around the ship and I wish you a great experience on board the discovery princess Hey Oh thank you Captain thank you here’s an area we’re excited about this is the retreat pool and bar you can see the adult only pool got a couple hot tubs up there lots of seating around I think sher’s in vacation mode we found some chairs you can see there’s nobody around

Us up here at all uh you can hear the deck the sway party going on over there but over here it is just us and the Sunshine one of the things I can already tell I’m going to want to do is show you guys a bunch of the art around the ship

Because it’s very very cool look how fun fancy me and you here I think I follow you on YouTube and Instagram way I’m sitting on watching The you can see we’re officially pulling away from the land all over there heading out to the ocean what a beautiful view here on day number one there really is is nothing like a sunset at Sea just so beautiful well we found this little outside area on Deck number what are we

On seven seven question mark and we’re just kind of standing out here watching the sun set for the day look there goes Stanley again and just walking around Sher do you want a photo with Stanley you’re okay we decided to stop for a pre- dinner drink I got something

Called a Hawaiian Tropic Sherry got a hurricane and they brought her two hurricanes uh she said that the both bartenders made the same drink they were like so here’s one and then here’s one for free on us so not the worst all right just head down for dinner dinner

Tonight is in the Ketch can dining room MH very nice in here all right let’s give you a quick tour of the menu uh the princess sway dinner start with some freshly baked Breads and then for the starter soups and salads you can see like Wahoo mojito Ceviche seared garlic prawns Greek salad

A rum infused P Cola chilled soup wow pasta we have Linguini and clams fetuccini Alfredo the MS we got some risotto seared mahi mahi with pineapple mango salsa that sounds amazing a Bahamian seafood stew Fried Chicken Port tenderloin pot roast and then these princess favorites are things that are

On the menu every night so these aren’t night specific you can get them any night and then so all of this is included in the price there’s no charge for any of this uh down here though if you want to add on like a fet minan a

Lobster tail or a filet and lobster there is the added price for those first courses here I went with a Caribbean black bean soup that certainly looks good smells really good as well and Cherry bath what did you go with garlic PRS gar prawns is a very Cherry

Appetizer and in typical cruise dinner fashion Sherry’s place looks pretty darn clean mine looks are you kidding me cherry Beth is on a seafood roll what did you get I got the seafood stew it’s got muscles clams shrimps looks pretty good Snapper Snapper Snapper I went with the mahi

Mahi with like a pineapple salsa on top of um like couscous it actually looks really nice quino that’s what I said quinoa I didn’t say couscous what are you even talking about dinner is finished and it was amazing now we’re moving on to dessert here’s a dessert menu um vanilla marsone and blueberry

Cream milky chocolate Haz not sule sugar-free lemon cream pie oh my gosh look at all of this stuff I do not know what I want hi for dessert got the Hazelnut sule and I’m very happy with my decision but look at sherries it is so beautiful so pretty

It’s like art just got back to our state room after dinner we’re going to talk about dinner about about our first day here in a little bit but I want to show you the things that are on our bed night number one um a first impression comment

Card I actually really like that a lot of times you see comment cards for the last day of the cruise I love that there’s a first impression comic card I think that’s great they also have a state room breakfast you can order you just put your state room on there um the

Number of people and then you can select all of this uh this is included in the price so this is not extra um I like that you can get things like the breakfast English muffin Breads and pastri cereals very cool and then they also gave us our princess event listing

For tomorrow which is in at se day you can see lots of stuff um and then there’s also little notes like tomorrow is going to be a formal night uh tomorrow is also going to be a time change and then on the back even more and then this is just about um I

Think oh some shore excursions that are available on our stops so there you go and we just noticed these hanging up so our state room host must have came put them there princess Cruz robes they’re they’re really really soft those are awesome so it’s still pretty early it’s

Only like 7:00 7:30 it’s only like 7:30 that’s what I said um but I think we’re going to call on an early night tonight yeah we are tired we might just watch a movie and like read and then go to bed one of things that we have not done much

On all the cruises we’ve taken is just like downtime in our state room really yeah every now and then I’ll come back and take a nap but I could I mean just a few times have we ever watched shows or movies in our room uh and so we’re going

To try to relax a bunch on this trip and so kind of sounded like a nice way to start the cruise I agree so I think that’s what we’re going to do kind of hang out here even though there’s lots of stuff going on around the ship yeah

Let’s talk day number one first impressions of the discovery princess this is our first time on this ship yep um it’s beautiful it does feel very new uhhuh um Everything feels very clean and um I don’t know just the service has been fantastic and yeah everything is

Just beautiful so far best experience on a princess ship yet I think so and they’ve all been good they’ve all been good we haven’t had any bad experiences but they yeah this is best one so far this is the best the food has been M um lunch was great dinner was great the

Snacks we had were great the drinks were great like Sher said service the just the room is excellent I am so far just super super pleased like I I really don’t know how day one could have gone better um and it does make me really

Excited for the rest of the cruise I was talling Adam at dinner like I’m so excited to just like hang out on a lounge chair somewhere and read and like order a grilled chicken sandwich in a house salad like I’m just it so excited I got to switch my arms getting tired um

It was really funny it’s like that was the thing she’s so excited about like reading in the sunshine relaxing grilled chicken sandwich and a salad I was like all right you you do you boo I am going to as the kids a decade ago would say uh

We did get to meet a couple of you yes we did and it was so cool we got to hang out in the gift shop and just chat and hear your story with Jennifer and Ryan Sherry is so amazing about that um they’ve been watching for a little while

They started cruising a little over a year ago I think they said and I think they’ve gone on like six cruises already which is awesome so they’re hooks they’re hooks which I understand and they were just so nice like just the greatest people yeah so super fun to

Chat with them for a while love that we got to meet some leg life community members already on day one here on the Discovery princess friends we love you this was a heck of a start to what is going to be a really great week cannot
