Picture it sisily just kidding if you know you know but picture it Christmas morning the kids or grandkids are opening gifts you’re sipping on your coffee and you have a nice warm casserole that you are taking bites of in between opening gifts it’s like the perfect scenario there’s just

Something about having a great warm casserole on Christmas morning and today I’m going to be sharing two different ideas with you that you could possibly make for your Christmas morning hey y’all I’m Mandy and this is Mandy in the making a special thank you to thrive market for sponsoring today’s video I

Will tell y’all a little more about them here in a little bit but I’ve got a great offer for you where you can save 30% on your first order as well as get a free gift worth up to $60 this first one we’re making is a hash brown casserole

It’s going to feel great to have that ready on Christmas Eve night stick it in the fridge and then Christmas morning take it out of the fridge put it in the oven breakfast is ready we’re going to preheat our oven to 350 I’m also heating up this Skillet

We’re going to Brown some sausage in this in just a few minutes but I’m heating it up to about medium high ma’am you know don’t you you just know yeah you just know we’ll get to it in a minute okay I already had some green bell pepper diced so we’ve got that

Covered we need about half of this red pepper and we’re going to dice it as well you know I could have got my dice are out could have would have should have but here we are and then we also need just about a/4 a cup of onion diced now

If you want to save some time you could always get the hash browns what is it called is it the O’Brien do you know what I’m talking about that already has the peppers and onions in it you really could do that and if my grocery store

Had that I would have done that but it has been so hard to find hash browns in the Frozen frozen section at least at my grocery store you have to let me know below if you have the same thing happening at yours but this recipe calls for shredded hash browns yeah mine

Didn’t have that so we’re going with diced it’s not a big deal but you got to do what you got to do I don’t know I don’t know what the deal is so let me know are you having problems finding that too I am making this midafternoon

We had a very light lunch but tonight Stephen and I are going on date night and we are going to see some Christmas lights so if you are somewhat local to me I don’t know if you’ve ever been you have to let me know but the Tryon Equestrian Center in North Carolina has

A really large drive-thru lights show and I think it’s the the kind where you can turn your radio to whatever station they tell you to turn it to and the lights correspond with the music we’ve never been so I’m pretty excited about it it’s a little

Bit of a drive for us but it’s going to be fun it’s Christmas colors our pan is nice and hot and and normally I use my little mix and chop tool but with sausage I like to use a spatula because the sausage tends to get really stuck

Kind of It kind of sticks to the mix and chop and it’s kind of annoying so if you have that same issue just use a spatula with your sausage at least when it’s first getting started talking about this tool right here the mix and chop it’s great for ground beef and other things

But sausage it ends up getting on my nerves now the part that Gracie Lou is waiting on oven’s ready we need to shred some cheese we need about two cups of cheese all right we’ve got some on the counter here for some little girl that is where is she oh she’s behind

Me I don’t know if you can see her hello okay I got it you ready oh okay let’s go let’s go one of my favorite ways to shop for groceries is online especially when it comes to getting organic groceries because if you’re not shopping online at Thrive market then you’re probably going

From store to store looking for your favorite Brands different organic things and it just takes forever and it costs a lot of money too if you aren’t familiar Thrive Market is an online membership based grocery store on a mission to make healthy living easy and affordable for

Everyone you can shop for thousands of the bestselling organic foods and natural products below traditional prices but hey if you find a better price somewhere else then you can let Thrive Market know and they will match that price and when I say that you will save money I saved over $58 on this

Order alone so whether you’re looking for improved nicer quality just Staples Pantry Staples I do that a lot I get my beef broth I get a lot of gravy mixes canned soups canned tomatoes all the things I get from Thrive Market or you can find new products New To You

Products that are organic and better for your family and the great thing is you can look through online and see what other people have rated those those products so if it’s new to you and you just don’t know if you want to try it or not you can read through the ratings

Something that I wanted to grab this year was stuff for our hot cocoa station it is that time of year it is chilly outside and we like hot cocoa hot chocolate and many marshmallows on top of that are just perfect so I grabbed these dandies and then this time I just

Had to try a peppermint chocolate it’s a dark chocolate Peppermint Patty how about we try it together oh and they’re little Christmas trees I don’t think I even realized that how adorable if you love dark chocolate and mint peppermint get those continuing on with chocolate in our teeth so I mentioned it’s an

Online membership based grocery store so this is how it works a monthly membership is $12 a month but if you already know that you’re going to be shopping from there a lot go ahead and get the annual membership that comes out to about $5 a month it’s build annually

At $59.95 they guarantee that you will make up that membership cost in savings throughout the year and if you don’t they will credit you the difference and if you’re looking for something in a particular lifestyle let’s say you’re vegan you can filter their products by that particular lifestyle that way you

See only the things that you that pertain to you so I have a great deal for you today if you want to try Thrive market and you become a member you’re going to go to thrivemarket.com Mandy in the making and when you join today you’re going to get 30% off of

Your first order plus you’re going to get a free gift worth up to $60 and their free gifts are good be sure to go check them out first thing you’re going to put in your cart these and thank me later this is browned so let’s drain this over here on some paper

Towels so I’ve got a 9 by3 dish I chose this one because it has a lid which is great so I don’t have to transfer leftovers I can just leave it all here we need to spray it with some non-stick spray this is my favorite non-stick

Spray it’s from Thrive I always have one or two bottles of this ready to go now we need 20 oz of hash browns again they called for the shredded this is all my grocery store had so and they’ve been sitting out on my counter for quite some

Time I wonder if they’re supposed to be thaal completely ah yeah they are they’re not thaal they’re cold but they’re still and they’re still a little frozen so we may have to bake this a little bit longer than it calls for but that’s okay so pour those

In we’re also going to throw in our cooked sausage well you don’t want to throw it I mean who am I to tell you what to do you can throw it if you want to I’m just going to SC rpe mine in you do you boo let’s add in our

Onions and our bell pepper and our red we definitely have more red than green and then at this point you’re going to use about 1 and 1/2 cups of your cheese let’s mix all of that together I mean that already looks pretty right all right we’ve got a large bowl here we’re

Going to add eight eggs you could then just add regular milk I think it’s a cup and A3 I will always link the recipe below um but I’m going to go with a can of evaporated milk then we’re going to add a little salt and pepper and then you also want to add

Some Italian herbs if you have this one from Sam’s Club be careful the top can and will come off some of y’all got to see that firsthand let’s just whisk that around we’re going to pour this egg mixture all over our hash browns and then at this point if you wanted to stop

If you were um planning to make this a day before you can make this up to 2 days before but if you’re making it before you’ll stop at this point and just cover it but we’re going to continue on because I’m going to bake it

Right now what we’re going to do is try and break things we’re going to top it with the remaining cheese and this is going to go in the oven uncovered for 55 to 65 minutes just depending and because my hash browns are not completely Tha it

May be closer to the 65 minutes we’ll check it at 1 hour and then go from there it’s The Final Countdown let go time not to be confused with it’s boat time oh are you jiggly you are not you are perfect oh my stars get in my belly Cole said he’s

Scared what’s that face Cole he likes it just a 10 he said just a t that’s a hash brown casserole Cole is so happy right now I wish I could see him he is so happy got the egg flavor in there a little bit of veggies sausage yes that’s what we want

So Christmas morning would this be a good one oh yeah mhm tomorrow morning we’re going to have liftover so you can eat it tomorrow morning if you’d like yeah just let you know there you go I’m going to try it I have a little girl you’ve already had cheese yes you

Have Gracie it’s a little hot don’t burn yourself please hey Cole what did you just say huh you said amazing and then what uh 10 out of 10 10 out of 10 that hash brown casserole is really good so now I’ve got another idea for breakfast on Christmas morning this one is

Completely different this is more on the sweet side and it is so incredibly good you’re going to love it this is called a cinnamon roll French toast bake I am cutting it in half just because I don’t want to have leftovers I want us to eat

This all at one time but I’ve got the original recipe Linked In the description box as always the first thing I’m going to do is preheat my oven to 375 okay in this bowl I’m going to add two eggs and technically according to the recipe I should add three eggs

But she said that she has cut down the eggs because it becomes too eggy so just a heads up on that I’m adding in a/4 a cup of milk a teaspoon of cinnamon and a teaspoon of vanilla okay we’re just going to set this to the side now I’m

Going to take my can of cinnamon rolls and I’m going to cut each cinnamon roll into eight pieces like little pieces of pizza I’m using a small square dish but if you’re doing the full recipe you’ll need a 9 by3 pan we’re going to take a/4

A cup of butter and pour it all over the bottom now I’m just going to put my cinnamon roll pieces all over the bottom pretty evenly now it’s time to pour our milk egg and cinnamon mixture all over our cinnamon rolls and lastly I’m going

To add a half a cup of maple syrup all over the top this is going in a 375° oven for about 25 minutes and don’t fear we’re going to be using this at the end this will not go to waste to go along with our breakfast SL lunch SL subby

Supper I’m going to be making some bacon just so we have that savory with the sweet and then we’ll have some fresh fruit too get some good breakfast for lunch for lunch but it’s a subie supper though breakfast anytime of the day that’s right mhm does it remind you of

French toast yeah a little bit of French toast yeah okay absolutely that’s what it is it’s a cinnamon roll fridg toast bake wow really good breakfast sweet love the sweetness of the icing there which is melted all over everything yeah it is and then you’ve got your bacon to

Go along with it that savory to go with the sweet mhm it’s what we like mhm Cole Love it he is chowing down over there really quickly this is really good I’m so glad I only did two eggs and not the three because it’s not too eggy I’m

Very picky about my French toast and if it has too many eggs I’m not a fan and I love taking a bite of this and then taking a bite of bacon cuz that’s sweet and savory is where it’s at this reminds us of the big cinnamon roll at 5 Oaks in

Gatlinburg yeah so the Five Oaks Restaurant they have a cinnamon roll that is like as big as this plate I’m not kidding and it is so good it’s not overly sweet if you ever go to Gatlinburg and you want to try out a great restaurant for breakfast go to

Five Oaks promise you you’ll love it so tell me which one you plan to make on Christmas morning if either one of them or if you have one that you always make for Christmas morning tell us about it in the comments don’t forget to go check

Out Thrive Market if you use the link thrivemarket.com Mandy inth making you’re going to save 30% off of your first order when you join plus you’re going to get a free gift worth up to $60 thank y’all so much for being here I really appreciate it and I hope your Christmas morning is

Super yummy and super fun bye

  1. Steven….you seem to love breakfast sausage…every sunday morning..the husband starts the grill..and puts the sausage patties on..then..leftovers..sausage/ biscuit sandwiches..😉…

  2. Months ago I did join Thrive market, for some reason my first order didn’t go through properly my fault. My doctors discovered cancer on my kidney. I was unable at that time to use my thrive membership. Recently, I called to discontinue my membership due to not really able to use it. They refused to refund my membership money. I’m not blaming anyone, but I sure could’ve used that money. I love all your recipesand your delightful family. God bless you. Happy holidays.

  3. Hi Mandy. I like adding green chile to the egg casserole. It’s a great casserole any time of day! Yum1 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  4. Hi Mandy! My family has always used frozen diced potatoes for casseroles. Especially for "funeral potatoes", instead of shredded. Bake until bubbling and crispy on the edges. Soo good!
    Merry Christmas! 🎄

  5. Mandy, food lion has the potatoes o'Brien in the dairy section. In the French fry section, Orada has the potatoes o'Brien also.

  6. Hi Mandy. About the Christmas lights in Tryon, NC, our sons and daughter-in-law went with me around the Christmas 2019 (when we lived in Shelby, NC). It was nice, just make sure you have enough gas. I wasn’t the one driving my car (and was sitting in the back), so by the time we realized it, we had to stay in line until we could get to a point to leave (which was before the lights). Then we ended up going back home (after getting gas) and went the next night. It’s neat how they have the music and lights working together though. 🎄

  7. Love making breakfast casseroles…..I haven’t been able to find the Ore-Ida Pitatoes O’Brien for the longest in any of my grocery stores…..I use them to make not only the casseroles but also a potato omelet & potato soup…..

  8. I had planned to make cinnamon rolls anyway so I decided to turn it into the casserole. It looks good and I know my husband will enjoy it. Have a blessed Christmas.

  9. Hi Mandy and Steven! I love you guys and enjoy your videos so much! I just purchased the cheese grater you use and used it for the first time tonight. Love it! It works so great and just as easy as it looks when I see you use it. I have a question, do you wash it in the dishwasher? It says to hand wash, which is ok but dishwasher is so much nicer! I am going to make the cinnamon roll french toast bake for Christmas morning. Can't wait to try it. Thanks again for the great channel and a very blessed Christmas to you and your family!

  10. I'm laid up in a cast non weight bearing, so I don't get to be in the kitchen this year.😢❤I would do the hashbrown casserole for sure❤

  11. Funny story about the making of the sausage/hashbrown casserole. It's lunch time Christmas Eve. Oldest son & his son are here from GA. I'm putting out the fixings for hoagies and also browning the sausage to make the casserole. That got cooked and I made my sammich and left the kitchen to eat. People and mostly guys were coming and going. I got back out to the kitchen, looked at the sausage and it looked different – not nearly as much as should have been there. I discovered that 2 of the grandsons (in their 20s) thought the sausage was part of lunch and had put it on their hoagies!!!! Oh my! I cooked up some bacon to supplement the sausage. I'm sure it will be good in the morning!!!

  12. From Québec, Canada, we will try the cinnamon roll casserole with our own maple sirup made by my dauther's father. Excuse my english, I'm a french canadian. Joyeux Noël!!

  13. Welllll if you’re going into NC, Charlotte Motor Speedway has BEAUTIFUL lights and you drive on the racetrack! There’s a live nativity, petting zoo, HUGE movie screen, and lots of other stuff.

  14. I made the French toast for our Christmas breakfast and instead of regular maple syrup I used Cinnabon syrup and it was so good! My husband loved it. Have a wonderful holiday.

  15. Made this today, came out Awesome!
My husband and daughter loved it as well. That's a keeper recipe. Thanks for sharing.

  16. Merry Christmas! I made the Hash-brown, sausage, egg cheesy casserole and it was yummy! I made it Christmas Eve evening, stored it in the fridge and baked it Christmas morning. I used the O’Brien potato hash browns but still chose to add more onion & red bell pepper. It came out really good, delicious. My husband loved it. And my 92 yo Pop did, too. Thank you, Mandy. You’re the best 👍🏼

  17. I made the savory one for Christmas Day. My recipe called for potatoes o'brien and dry mustard. I also used the bacon pieces instead of sausage from Sam's Club. Both of your recipes look yummy!

  18. They both looked delicious. I think I will make the Hashbrown Casserole for Christmas morning. I loved getting to see the always beautiful Miss Gracie Lou. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and we'll see y'all next time.

  19. The cinnamon/ French toast casserole looks so good! Hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas day and a Happy New Year including Gracie Lou! I had a blast babysitting & being with my Son and his
    girlfriend (soon to be fiance).🎉

  20. Can't wait to try both just got to figure out if I can find the Just Eggs no egg substitute for the first one. I think for the sweet one, I'll sub heavy whipping cream and skip the eggs but use everything else. I love Five Oaks. Thank you all for always keeping it real and loving the Lord it shows in everything you do. Happy New Year 🎉

  21. These two seem like good choices so I’m glad you found & shared them. Coles comments are always my fav.

  22. I made the cinnamon French toast casserole and it was great. I did use 3 eggs bc I really wanted it to taste like French toast and it did. I did not however pour the syrup on for baking but served it separately , warmed. It was wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

  23. If you spray the tool with nonstick spray it would prevent the sticking 😊❤️ hope you had a great holiday 😊🎄🎁🎊🎉

  24. Lmao I'm soo weird I don't like cinnamon so French toast goes without but still good to me my husband says other wise.

  25. My Son's favorite Christmas Eve breakfast/brunch casserole is Ham Strata. Simple, easy and delicious. I make it every year for him.

  26. Oh, Sophia! Love the nod to the Golden Girl matriarch! Both of these look delicious! I will definitely add these to my Mandy notebook of recipes! Wishing you a wondeful 2024! Smiles, Abby Smith

  27. I made the breakfast casserole for Christmas morning. It was wonderful! I used hash brown potatoes so that the carbs would be less. My family loved it, and I will be making it in the future for an easy breakfast when we go camping. I love your videos with you and Steven. Sometimes I laugh so hard I cry, thank you, xoxo!

  28. Just made the cinnamon French toast again..thank you for my new favorite sunday morning breakfast..❤❤❤❤
