got these brats from a butcher shop up in the mountains; half hot link half bratwurst with jalapeño and cheddar. simmered in sierra nevada before browning in the pan. served with a russian river supplication.

Impressed with your restraint to just cook up one. Yum!

I don’t mind cooking a brat with a cheap beer but I don’t know that I could pour out a Sierra Nevada like that.

Nice! I like to cook the onions in the beer to really get that flavor in the brat. I need to try that with cabbage I think.

As an official from Wisconsin (flashes ID), I appreciate what you’re doing here, but you forgot the onions while simmering in the beer. We can forgive that this time, but I’m afraid I’m going to have to cite you for not tossing them on a raging hot grill for a real quick char after the simmer and then back into the “broth”. It’s an easy mistake so I’m changing my mind and I’m going to let you off with a warning this time. Take this pamphlet to help you with the steps in the future. Now, go grab another beer and don’t make me come back here.
