Yeah, you should definitely mention the places you’ve eaten at.

House of three gorges is so damn good

House of three gorges is PEAK. Haven’t found anything better.

I get very annoyed when people say Austin doesn’t have good Asian cuisine. That is total and complete bullshit, see: House of Three Gorges, Ta-Taya’s, Saigon, Kome, Julie’s Noodles, Qi, Xian.
Austin has some bomb ass Asian food.
EDIT: Forgot about Uchi, Uchiko, Omakase at Uroko, and First Chinese.

Just wait until you get the unhoused up the butt burger with extra Adler sauce

Eat at Dirty’s before it’s knocked down

Mapo Tofu? Would you say this a double meal or did you eat it all in one sitting? (no judgment)

Bro this is close to Pedroso’s Pizza off Burnet rd, arguably the best pizza Austin has right now. Definitely check them out!
You have found a family favorite. We have yet to eat anything at Three Gorges that we didn’t think was excellent. In addition to ma po tofu, we always order their pork wonton soup with homemade wonton (at first glance it seems a little spendy, but when you taste it, you realize it’s worth every penny). I also had a moment when I had the combination lo mein. What is often a very mid dish at many average restaurants is completely elevated due to the smokiness Three Gorges achieves with their proper wok technique.

I recognized that mapo tofu instantly! Truly magnificent

What’s the best thing to eat at House of Three Gorges, their signature dish?

That’s look simple, but it’s seem very good.

Whenever you get a chance try Bikkle Jamaican food – it’s a hole in the wall kind of spot but you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend the jerk chicken & oxtails!

You’ve only been here for one day and are already more positive than this entire sub.

Go to Joe’s Bakery and also Taqueria Arrandas on S. 1st for some real Tex-Mex and then report back to us.

I”ve come to the conclusion in others and in my own experience, tourists wherever they go think the food , regardless of where its from, is amazing. This came to light watching a video something to the effect of “Australians first time trying In and Out”. They drove through, took the food home and made a 20 minute video further delaying eat fresh food. They raved about the french fries. We all know In and Out French fries are garbage hot but 20-30 minutes later? Novelty is a powerful drug.

Oh ya the Austin food scene is insanely good and one of few places that competes with LA & NY.
