More of a Canadian thing than American but I tell ya if you ever see Perogy’s for sale buy ‘‘em and smoke ‘em.
Set grill to 300f and bake these delicious dough covered potato and cheese pockets for about 15 min so they just start to pop open, toss em in a metal bowl with butter, paprika and garlic then enjoy with bacon bits and sour cream!

Stop … you are making me hungry.
Feel like Pirozhki would be better smoked than pierogi. I’ve never tried smoking either, definitely worth a shot
Interesting!
I love/grew up with Mrs T’s Perogies and can’t believe I can pick them up in TX now. I might have to try this with them.
I prefer ketchup on my perogies- I know it sounds weird but I fry up onions first then pan fry the perogies till they are crispy and serve covered in onions and (spicy) ketchup, typically.
Are you thawing them or putting them on frozen? What temp? (I think a pan with a couple of sticks of butter and a ton of sliced onions on the top shelf might be interesting as a topper)
