Ground beef is just brown sometimes you’re all good

Beef is normally grey. It gets red once it has been oxidised.

I cant really tell from the pic but if the interior of that beef is the grey bit you pulled out, then its fresh.

The stores dye the meat pink. Its supposed to be that brown color

More than likely yes and the change is due to Oxidation, exposure to air.

As long as it doesn’t smell it should be fine.

    Come with me,
    and you’ll be,
In a land of beef oxidation.

  6. You’ll know when raw beef has gone bad by the smell. And you WONT question the smell.

Color isn’t the way to tell. Odor is the way to tell. Smell it. If it’s bad, you will know it immediately.
