✅ Ingredients

2 ½ cups (312.5 g) all-purpose flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

1 tablespoon granulated sugar

2 teaspoons kosher salt

2 cups (490 g) buttermilk

½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted

✅ Instructions

Preheat the oven to 450°F.
Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt to a medium bowl. Use a whisk to sift ingredients.
Pour in the buttermilk and stir until mostly combined, being careful not to overwork the batter.
Pour the melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish*. Place the dough on top of the butter and use a spatula (or your hands) to evenly spread the dough out to the edges of the pan.
Cut the unbaked dough into 9 squares (3×3 pattern). Bake for 28 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Allow the butter to be absorbed into the biscuits before cutting and serving.

What’s going on good people this ter Hill man Sgt TV all right today we’re going to get into doing some biscuits I love breakfast is my favorite meal of the day living in the South you you know you got to have a really good biscuit sometimes I struggle making biscuit but

This recipe is simple it’s easy so let’s do it man let’s make it happen got some melted butter here here it’s about a cup of butter stick of butter it’s melt it put that right directly in my pan here I got two cups of Buttermilk I have 2 and 1/2 cups of AP

Flour in this container I have four teaspoon of baking powder that’s going to help the biscuits rise I got four teaspoons of sugar and I got 2 tpoon of salt so I’m going to mix all the dry ingredients together tell you this is going to be really really easy recipe mixed all that

Up next the butter milk oh yeah it has all the all the ingredients that you need we going to mix that up always got to be careful over mixing just mix it up until it’s all Incorporated it’s going to be good also now this recipe here um you normally need a 8×8 9×9

Pan because you want these nice Square nice thick Biscuits I’ll show you the consistency here it’s going to be nice and Incorporated and then that’s it so now now we’re going to start layering That layer it all the way across that butter I know that looks like a lot of butter but it’s actually going to make that biscuit really really good we going to spread that all the way to the Ends when you look at it it looks like oh my God I’m making like a mess here like there’s no way that this thing is going to come out into some amazing biscuits but you’re going to be surprised so I got it kind of spread it out all the way out

All the way to the ends and so then what I’m going to do I’m going to take a knife there we go that’s good I’m going to take a knife and I’m going to just kind of make some lines here because I want to make kind of make the biscuit lines Here there we go just like that that’s it so it’s going to go in the oven at 450° for 20 to 25 minutes it’s going to evaporate it’s going to absorb all of this butter it’s going to rise we have have a nice perfect biscuit all right so I’ll check you

Back all right guys so now listen the biscuits they’re done let’s go ahead and let’s get them let’s see what they look like see what they taste like wow look at that look at that man you can see that that looks amazing that looks amazing so let’s see

And see it’s sitting in that butter so they’re I mean obviously they’re not dry I always like me a corner biscuit there let me get that corner biscuit out you probably could let these cool but I just wanted to take that out so you could so you can see that look at that

Oo then we got to taste it oh man oh man it’s hot too woo let’s get in there though we got to taste it look at the smoke on that oh it smells good it’s fluffy buttery crispy M come on yall that’s good this is perfect for your breakfast

  1. Soooo this happened today. I was hoping to make these for a holiday sandwich after Thanksgiving. Thank u for the inspiration brother. I actually grinded einkorn wheat berries and made my flour. I added garlic, parsley and topped with a tiny bit of shredded mixed cheeses. Omg…because of the einkorn flour this is more dense. But its soooo good. Almost like a dressing to sime extent. The white flour would make it more fluffy. Using what i have. I just need gravy now and sausage. It will be made again. Will be posting to my page (cookscave)

  13. o,.m.g. that is so easy. I've stressed over biscuits trying to mix the butter in just enough, keep it cold, etc. cutting, arranging, what a relief to see how you did it. I think they are kind of like fried biscuits, frying in that butter, what's not to like? You don't need to add butter after they're done this way. I loved this and your teaching style is great.
