    Dice 2 onions and 3 garlic, saute in oil until soft and transparent – transfer to slow cooker

    Cut into cubes 1kg Stewing beef (I used chuck) and season well with salt and pepper, brown in oil, same pan – transfer to slow cooker

    Use 1 bottle of light beer (330ml) to deglaze pan, then pour into slowcooker

    Pour 1 cup beef stock into slow cooker, cover & cook (high 4 hours) or (low 7 hours and 30mins)

    After cooking add – 2tbsp diced parsley & 2tbsp diced basil (I prefer the paste)

    Add 150grams baby Spinach & 1 can of Cannolini Beans

    Cover again and continue to cook on HIGH for 30 minutes
