Hello! 👋🏻 This is a typical Tuscan appetizer: it is called “tagliere” because in Italian this means “Cutting board”, so it’s referring to the platform the food leans on 😊
In a tagliere you could find crostini, cheese, jam, honey, prosciutto, salame, bread and other savory creams! 😋
In this specific one we have: crostini toscani (with pork livers), bruschette al pomodoro 🍅, crostini with sausage and mozzarella (baked in the oven), cheese with truffle, spicy savory pie, capocollo 🍖, prosciutto crudo and salame, tigelle (little circular bread) and in the middle a little bowl with hot beans and trippa (meat tripe) 🫘

I do love tigelle!!!
Looks good but not really Tuscan, more generic italian – we don’t usually have bruschetta al pomodoro or capocollo, they are both southern. We would have finocchiona, maybe a couple of meats from nearby Emilia, and I have never seen tripe on a tagliere!
Why the call for upvotes?
Beautiful stuff
Heading to Florence this weekend for a week. Can’t wait to try everything!
