I’m a big fan of canned squid and happened upon a few cans of these squid pieces in ink at TJ Max the other day. Typically I’ll either make a quick pasta sauce or just fork them out of the tin when I have squid, but I haven’t explored enough with them and was wondering what everybody in the community typically does with theirs.

Oh, that’s fun art! Besides what you’ve mentioned already, I thought this recipe was great, and fairly easy to put together: [https://www.beryl.nyc/index.php/2024/01/08/arroz-con-caramali/](https://www.beryl.nyc/index.php/2024/01/08/arroz-con-caramali/)
I was thinking of this the other day. I have a tin and couldn’t think of anything other than pasta or ramen. Saw an interesting post for it on pizza, but decided against haha
Here are what I’ve done with my squid tins

I wasn’t crazy about this tin. It was like a very sweet bbq sauce. My experience with squid ink is few and far between, so maybe this is to be expected. However, I ate them out of the can. I would give them another shot over steamed rice.
I personally enjoyed this tin recently. A couple of friends and I enjoyed it with some nice crackers, olives, and cold vodka. Would buy again.
Never had squid in ink. What does squid ink taste like?
Great question. Looking forward to the responses!
