So over the last few weeks I’ve been slowly putting together a hybrid pellet offset smoker. I call it my Frankensmoker.
The offset is an Oklahoma Joe’s Highland offset with a couple mods, and the pellet hopper assembly/firepot of a Recteq B380 bullseye.
The idea here is to have offset flavor, with the ease of a pellet grill. I haven’t had a chance to cook on it yet, but I hope to do so in the next week or so.
Also for those that missed it in the video, yes this build is extremely janky. It was done as cheaply as possible. I have young twins with special needs and I am extremely limited with both time and money.
If anyone has any questions let me know.

Right on
Dude hell yeah! Definitely curious how it smokes. It’s yours, it works for you and your time and budget, I’d be happy with it. Enjoy!
You can put some wood in the fire box to get better smoke flavor than a normal pellet grill too
