How is this hot chocolate so low calorie?? I make this with a Keurig coffee maker and don’t add anything to it.
I just make it with water in the keurig coffee maker. It tastes rather rich, I can’t believe that it’s just 70 calories in a 8oz cup

That’s not actually low cal in terms of hot cocoa mix. It’s standard. Only the zero sugar ones have less than 30-40 cals

It’s half the size of a standard envelope of hot chocolate mix (by weight). It’s just a lower quantity, so lower calories.

I have fancy turtles and aero hot chocolate in my cupboard and they’re 90 calories a serving (without milk) so 70 isn’t that much lower.

Swiss Miss actually makes a reduced calorie one which is really good too!

Hot cocoa is one of my favorite night time treats because it satisfies my craving for something sweet without breaking the calorie bank.
I use half a Swiss Miss No Added Sugar packet and then add 1/4 c oat milk to make it taste richer and it still comes in under 100cal

When i make hot chocolate at home I just use cocoa powder and stevia and a pinch of salt, and it’s usually around 40 calories

idk what to tell you, it’s not that low calorie. in the UK all the ‘light’ hot chocolates like Options, Highlights or Galaxy Light are 40 calories for 10-11g of powder. mix it with some hot water and milk, and you get to 70 calories without much effort. i’m sure yours is just a similar concoction with extra skimmed milk powder to make it milky enough to be enjoyable.

Nestle sugar free is 25 cal per pack and I mix it with an espresso and nf milk and I get a mocha that is under 50 cal

I mean — that one little pod has 3 teaspoons of sugar (4g sugar per tsp). I guess it is low calorie in the sense that it is a small quantity. But all in all, you are basically drinking sugar water.

Is it made with water? It’s 70 calories because it’s only 19 grams. That would become 350 calories for 100 grams which is not really low calorie.
