Pleasantly surprised! Not super spicy (feel like it’s a few notches above Frank’s Redhot) but great flavor. Hard to find decent sauces in grocery stores

I love this sauce, but this post is likely going to be misleading to a lot of people. If you find Frank’s red hot to be hot do not buy this thinking it will be a few notches up, it is significantly hotter if franks is your baseline. With that being said, if you like yuca and can handle that heat level, then this is a great sauce for you!

This has become my baseline sauce… Want to try the scorpion sauce.

You put enough on, there’s a bite…quite a few notch’s above Franks.

I like the heat, but it just tastes like carrot juice.

Arthur Wayne hot sauce from Missoula Montana is all anyone on this sub needs to know. Try it and you will never gamble with any other.

I drink this stuff, Marie Sharp’s has the best average consumer level sauces imo.

Of the two Marie Sharp’s I’ve tried, this one was the best of two mediocre offerings, and I still wouldn’t choose it over Melinda’s, Secret Aardvark, Tabasco Habanero (and even scorpion), or Yucateo.
Then there’s the smell. The taste isn’t unpleasant, but the smell is downright offensive. Like an unwashed armpit in the summer. When I said that here before everyone acted like I was crazy, so I took it to work and had a dozen coworkers smell it. The only one that didn’t immediately recoil in disgust was sick, we’re now thinking with COVID, and couldn’t smell anything anyway.
EDIT: downvote away, because it doesn’t change this slightly-above-Frank’s-average sauce that smells like someone boiled a sweaty nutsack in a used gym sock filled with garlic.
