I covered my whole grilling area with a tarp for the winter. I didn’t bother to put on the Napoleon grill cover. I uncovered it to see all of those black spots. Weiman stainless steel cleaner does nothing. Is it safe to use a solvent/goof off?

Had the same marks on one of my grills. After trying a bunch of products, I used a scrub pad drill brush. The marks came out initially but returned when the grill got wet. Let me know if you figure something out.

  2. Use a microfiber cloth or paper towel. Scrub with vinegar, wipe down with a small amount of cooking oil afterwards. Won’t be perfect. Will be significantly better.

Green Scotchbrite. Use it dry, it’ll buff right out.

Aluminum foil, just make a ball a scrub. After clean and apply some protection.
Use Mother’s mag & aluminum polish or something like that.

Side note that same mothers polish can be use to clean your car headlights to remove all that fog on the headlight and make it clear again. Very easy.

That thing’s toast. Time to trash it and get a new one, I’ll bring a trailer and deal with it to save you the headache of getting rid of it yourself.

Clean with BKF. If you can find all-brite stainless cleaner (its a commercial product) that will help protect. It stinks to high heaven but works very well.

First thought before seeing the sub was “haha stupid cybertruck owner”.

Seeing you are from this noble sub, I apologize for my rude thoughts, and wish you the best of luck in accepting your stained stainless for what it is.

I work in stainless steel. Get a green brill pad like you use in the kitchen and lightly rub WITH the grain of the metal to remove these. It will take some time but it works.

There’s a product out there that I’m not sure the average public can get but I used to use it to clean stainless at a facility. It’s called Sheen Ezey. The stuff I used was from De Laval. It would have stainless shine like it was polished.
