I started eating hot peppers recently to increase my spice tolerance. So in the recent dish that I ate, it had these ones in it. Does anybody know what are these called?

they look like a Thai variety, but I am not familiar with south asian ones. other than they taste great with lovely heat.

they just sell them as red Thai hot peppers in the asian groceries here where I live

    Birds Eye chili. They’re Thai

  3. Thai Chili. Love to put this on everything!
Ramen noodle, fried rice, eggs, mixed with sweet soy sauce, or just eat it like that with fried tofu (have to be a specific tofu tho)

I grow those in my garden. Taste better fresh.

Birds Eye chili is incorrect. There are multiple types of Thai peppers and Birds Eye chilis are smaller and shorter.

This is a Thai Dragon Chili.

    Birds Eye’s are 50,000 – 100,000 SHU while a Thai Dragon is 75,000 – 150,000 SHU.

I’ve found the distinction only really matters when buying seeds/seedlings. I found the birds eyes are better for drying while the dragons are better used fresh.
