Fellow Espresso enthuisiasts,

I‘m currently considering an upgrade. I own an ECM Klassika (Single boiler), but I‘m getting tired of the workflow of pulling multiple Cappuccinos back to back.
I have my eyes set on the Profitec Pro 600 (Dual Boiler). However, I would really like to be able to fit my Wood accessoires on the new machine as well.
Does anybody know if the knobs and levers are compatible between ECM and Profitec?

After researching valves for the p700, 600, 500 and Ecm Synchronika I believe they will fit. You can also get the p600 with joysticks I believe. If you are happy with your current machine except for the steam, you will love the p600!

  2. Both machines use an e61 group head, so any portafilters and baskets will swap.

I just LOVE these espresso bar pics that show off lovely homes from across the world. Nice indoor plants!

  4. A smooth rotary pump + Dual boiler can change lives. Using a Temp probe in the forward port of the E61 group head is a great way to understand temperature fluctuations, and give you machine-specific guidelines for flushes. On my PID HX Single boiler, 20second flushes were needed to flush spitting hot water out of the thermo-siphoning group head – the group head also needed a lesser degree of flush after sitting idle for mere minutes. I’m glad to have moved on.

If you have any doubt, chat with or call the fine folks at Clive Coffee. They sell and service both brands (they share many parts). They have onsite techs and their staff is very knowledgeable.

I bought some wooden knobs intended for the synchronika, and it fit on of PP600.
