
I enjoy McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish, but eating out isn’t really cheap these days and it’s fun to make my own versions of things. Often I find I make it better.
Trader Joe’s makes a great breaded tilapia filet, so I took one of those and put it on a nice, soft brioche bun, along with some tartar sauce and American cheese.
Unlike the official Filet-O-Fish, which is fairly small and also a bit soggy, my version is both very substantial and gets an awesome crunchy exterior on the filet from the oven.
I highly recommend!!

There tilapia filets are a real sleeper. I’ve made almost this exact sandwich more than once while drunk and it never disappoints.

Looks nice but I prefer soft bread not brioche buns but I’d still love to try it
