Hi, I’m Kc from G free foodie, and I’m going to show you a super easy appetizer that’s perfect for summer barbecues or any time you just want to kick up the color on your table. These are caprese skewers.
Okay, this is so simple. I took some grape tomatoes that I found at the grocery store, cut them in half, and put them on a paper towel so they drain just a little bit. They also had yellow cherry tomatoes, if your store has yellow or any of the
Other heirloom varieties, grab those, if not grab some more red ones. Then I’m gonna take mozzarella cheese, you can grab the pre sliced balls or logs if you want, and then just quarter those, or cut it yourself. I’m gonna put a piece of
Basil over the top. I’m gonna take the yellow or the top tomato and Pierce it first, and then put that right through the stack. I’ll do a few more of those and then I’ll show you how we finish them. Okay, plate full of little caprese skewered soldiers, I’m gonna hit it with
A little bit of salt, so we can get it kind of all over the cheese, don’t worry about the plate, and it looks better if you kind of dress it up with some seasoning pepper grinder, you know you want one, and I’m gonna take some high-quality balsamic vinegar and do a quick drizzle.
That’s it! That’s all! So easy and so delish. G free foodie. Check us out.
