My mom was going to put her corned beef in the slow cooker all day today while she was at work but she was worried it would overcook because she doesn’t get off in time to turn it off after the 6 hours. Being the nice daughter that I am, I offered to come over and prepare it at a later time for her so that it would turn out good.
I took the insert out to give it a nice clean before putting the corned beef in and noticed what appears to be a plastic sliced cheese wrapping stuck to the side. I know she’s already cooked with it on there because I had to use a blade to scrape off the cooked on portion of it.
Would something like this cause a fire?

Probably not there not much to set on fire there, but good practice to make sure it doesn’t happen again
