First time making kimbap. Rewarding to do it with my own hands after buying it for so long!

This is the first time I’ve ever tried my hand at making kimbap, it was very fun to see it all come together. I’m not Korean but have been lucky to live next to a Korean market in the last two apartments I’ve been in NYC and the Bay Area. I’ve been buying kimbap here in the Bay Area for lunch for years, can’t beat a $7 lunch in 2024!
I recreated more or less (what I think) is in my favorite kimbap so I did ground beef, egg, daikon, carrot, cucumber, and burdock. As you can see towards the top I ran out of everything but carrot and burdock. Those are the extra healthy ones haha.
Seems relatively simple at first but definitely appreciate how much technique goes into making them perfectly proportioned and tightly rolled. I’ll get there soon!
