Just wanted to share my bbq spread from the New Leroy and Lewis Brick and Mortar. Can bbq spread photos be a regular thing on this thread?

I stood in line for 1.5 hours opening day for this. The spread cost me around 120 dollars. My only regret was not bringing friends to devour it with us. We used the left overs for fried rice and meal prepped. This was my second time reviewing Leroy and Lewis. I would say the bacon pork rib was the star. And the brisket if it’s moist!

Beautiful pic of the spread. I still need to try them!

That brisket looks like a whole lot of fat. I like my brisket moist but nothing pisses me off more than paying $50 for meat and a half of it is fat.

Sensational. And I thought their burger was good. I foresee a future investment 🫡

That looks pretty dang tasty – was it?

That’s weird because when I went they didn’t have brisket ribs or like half the menu

This may be a dumb question but do they offer to go?

Regular thing if price is included for comparison

I went to their food truck about 3 years ago and thought for central TX bbq it was very mediocre. That picture looks great though. (And for the cost complaints the beef rib was probably $50.)

I get that people love “fancy bbq” these days, but I recently went to County Line on the Lake. The view was so nice and the atmosphere was special it wasn’t like most places. Aaron is the god of brisket but most won’t wait, Stiles Switch is great but their location are sad. Blacks every iteration is crowded and expensive and not really that appealing except maybe the nostalgia of the Lockhart kens version.
The view and the food at County Line were very nice, was it Franklin or Interstellar quality, no. However it was half of what you paid and way more “photogenic“ a location. The experience of Texas BBQ isn’t all about flavor or newness or scarcity it can be about the overall experience, so feel of the location, the service, the costs also should be considered.

Please consider going to County Line on the lake, during the week for lunch and sit out back by the water. You will enjoy it.

Had a very subpar experience there my first time there a few months ago. The sides were undercooked, which were the rice and something else that was supposed to be warm. Their burger which got a lot of hype was just cold and raw. I spent a lot of money, and I never went back.

And just a heads up, I went in last Friday and ordered food from the bar. They have a limited (non-bbq) menu if you don’t want to wait in line including the L&L Burger which I got with some onion rings. So damn good.

Also heard from one of the owners that Wednesday and Thursday have been a bit slower since opening the new location, so great days to not go through the long waits. Think it’s an all day happy hour too.
