I've been eating these thinking they were Scotch Bonnets. Now, I'm back at the Asian supermarket and I see they're selling Scotch Bonnets right next to them. So, the question is, what have I been eating?

    A hot pepper from Jamaica

    I am assuming

  2. Look like scotch bonnets to me. I’ve grown different varieties that are shaped differently.

Super hots that also have a Fresca bouquet. I love to cut them up and add them to salsa. Try a little before going nuts though.

  4. They look like scotch bonnets. Maybe habanero? Not very Jamaican though

There’s so many variants of peppers out there, ones that aren’t very distinguished. Which is probably what you’re looking at

Look up ‘Jamaican Country Pepper’ that’s what I could find on it. To me they look like habs/small bells based off their plumpness I would think there’s more juice and sweetness

Could just be another variation of bonnets, but don’t look gourdy/ribbed enough to me

Whatever you do with those, you better have a Prilosec IV drip nearby.

Look up “bajan hot sauce recipes”. Make one of those. Thank me later.
