Apple Crisp
This dessert is scrumptious, easy and a definite crowd pleaser! This is my mother-in-law’s recipe and loved by every single member of our family of every age! How do you like to eat your crisp…the classic with just apples, with berries, maybe peaches or maybe you do another combination?

Ingredients:

8 medium sized apples (Granny Smith, MacIntosh, Cortland preferred), chopped
½ tsp cinnamon
½ cup melted vegan butter
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup cane sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup rolled oats

Instructions:

Heat oven to 350°F.

Melt butter and set aside.

Peel, core and chop apples into smaller cubes or slices. Put in a separate bowl and mix with cinnamon. Place in an 8” x 8” pan.

Mix flour, brown and cane sugar, and oats. Add vegan butter and all mix until all ingredients are well combined. Place topping over the apples.

Bake for 30 minutes.

Suggestion: Can be served with vegan cream or vegan vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy!

Today on bake eat review we’re making apple crisp I like to use Granny Smith or courland as an apple I like an apple that’s a bit tart and holds its shape when it’s being cooked you can really use any apple or any combination I like

To chop it in Little Bits but you can also slice them this will take a while to peel and core it and it is absolutely worth it also don’t worry if the apples are bruised those can be just cut away and you can make full use of your Apple I also like to have some cinnamon mixed in with my apples this is an amazing combination and who doesn’t like apples and cinnamon what I love about this dessert it disappears in my house and if there are leftovers and that’s a big if somebody’s eating it for breakfast and

Often cold when baked this crust is crunchy and sweet and the rolled oats add a chewi to it this dessert can be served plain or you could serve it with vegan vanilla ice cream or a vegan cream this apple crisp is ready to go

I’m going to pop it in the oven at 350 for 30 minutes this is my mother-in-law’s recipe and it is a family favorite I love it because it’s got the right amount of crust to Apple ratio it’s sweet it’s tart it’s just delicious m
