Grilled Teriyaki Chicken
Ingredients:
8 chicken thighs
1 c soy sauce (low sodium)
1/2 c water
1 c dark brown sugar
1/2 c rice vinegar
5 large garlic cloves (diced)
3 tsp grated ginger
2 tbsp corn starch
chopped green onions
sesame seeds
In a medium bowl add soy sauce, water, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and stir and combine together. Place chicken thighs in a zip lock bag and pour in half of the marinade into the bag of chicken. Zip the bag and toss and make sure all the chicken is coated with the marinade. Allow the chicken to sit between 3-24hrs. Add the other half of marinade in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Add cornstarch and whisk together until the sauce is thick. Heat up grill or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken to the grill and cook on both sides between 7-8 mins or until cooked all the way through. Brush teriyaki sauce over chicken. Place chicken on a plate to rest for 5-10mins. Top teriyaki chicken with chopped green onion and sesame seeds. EAT AND ENJOY!

Hey everybody welcome back to my channel and thank you so much for stopping by so I noticed my channel that you guys really enjoyed chicken recipes so for today’s video I’m going to show you how to make the easiest and simplest teriyaki chicken so delicious you will not believe it

All of my new subscribers welcome to the family so enough talking let’s go ahead and get cooking now I went to the grocery store and I got an a packet of chicken thighs and I’m gonna make all of these now the thigh is a dark piece of
Meat and it’s normally used when you’re making chicken teriyaki but if you want to make your teriyaki chicken what chicken breast then you can absolutely use that if that’s what you prefer I’ve already washed and clean them I’m gonna sit them to the side and I’m gonna
Get started on the teriyaki sauce so in a medium bowl I’m gonna add 1 cup of soy sauce I’m gonna add 1/2 a cup of water along with 1 cup of dark brown sugar and I love the dark brown sugar because of the molasses for another level of
Tankiness I’m gonna add 1/4 of a cup of rice vinegar so off-camera i dice five large garlic cloves and I’m gonna go ahead and add that as well I’ve already graded and when I add three teaspoons of fresh ginger I’m gonna whisk everything together and you definitely want to make sure that the brown sugar is dissolved completely in the sauce so I’m just gonna set this off to the side really quick and I’m going to get started with the chicken
So before I start cooking the chicken I’m gonna marinate the chicken thighs so in a large bowl just saw that nothing spills I put a ziplock bag and I’m gonna add all the chicken thighs in this bag and a marination is just when the chicken just sits in the delicious sauce
For a couple of hours or even 24 hours and then the meat is going to soak up all that delicious sauce and flavor so that it can be really really extra delicious so I’m going to take half of the marinade and I’m going to put it in
The ziplock bag full of chicken thighs and I’m going to use the other half the marinade later on in the video So you want to go ahead and close up this a buck bag just making sure that is closed up all the way nice and tight and just roll it around in this is to make sure that each chicken thigh is coated really well with that delicious marinade
And the thing you want to do is you want to let it sit for about at least three hours but at most 24 hours if you really want your chicken to taste really delicious so I put the chicken in the refrigerator and while that’s sitting
I’m going to go ahead and take the other half of the marinade and put it in a saucepan and I’m going to bring it up to a boil after it reaches a boil I’m going to add two tablespoons of cornstarch and this is what’s going to make your sauce
Nice and thick so I’m just going to go ahead and add that and just grab a whisk and begin stirring it around you want to make sure that it dissolves completely and you don’t have any lumps So after three hours of marinating over medium-high heat I sprayed the grill down with some nonstick spray and I’m ready to add my chicken thighs and I’m going to just add four at a time I don’t want them to be overcrowded and I’m not going to move them around very much
Because I really love those grill marks I just love to see those grill marks and what I’m gonna do is I’m going to grill them between seven and eight minutes on both sides or until the chicken is cooked all the way through after eight minutes of grilling I’m ready to flip my
Chicken over and look at all those amazing grill marks I just love it so much and you know some pieces are a little bigger than others so I will flip it over another time just you know I just want to make sure that the chicken is cooked all the way through so my
Chicken is done grilling and now I’m ready to brush on that teriyaki sauce that we’ve thickened up earlier it almost looks like barbecue sauce it looks amazing so I’m just going to continue to cook my chicken and then I’m going to put it on a plate and I have
Four more pieces and I’m going to continue to grill my chicken until they’re all done Now off-camera I made some rice and I put it in a measuring cup just so I can be a little bit extra in fancy and I’m going to add a piece of teriyaki chicken and I’m gonna top it off with some green onions and also some toasted sesame
