I found a list of punny starter names and fell in love with Doughlene, so that’s what she’s named. She now has offspring called Ryelene and 7grainlene One of my friends called the starter I gave them Doighsef Martinez after our fave mls player at the time, though they considered Bread Guzan (were big Atlanta United supporters). Latest offspring was named I’m-Doigh-tep by some history nerd friends.
Before I knew about naming, my first attempt didn’t get one.
Now we’ve had a few:

Fibonacci (Fib for short – mostly tongue in cheek (iyktyk)).

Well I had a pet dragon that I dressed in a beret in a video game years ago he was French because of his beret so I named him Jean Claude. Jean Claude was very special to me to honor Jean Claude I named my starter Jean Claude.
