Hi YouTube and welcome back to my channel today I will be preparing a very simple and easy key lime pie even though it’s very simple and easy to make is also very decadent delicious and very savory it only takes about 20 minutes to prepare and then 2 hours in the fridge

To set if you want to know how I make this very easy simple decadent dessert just keep watching what you’ll need for this recipe is 16 ounces of cream cheese 1 can of sweetened condensed milk 1/3 cup of key lime juice you can either purchase the juice or fresh squeeze the

Limes and it takes 12 key limes then you also need the zest of 3 to 4 key limes and then a graham cracker pie crust and this is a 10 inch version in a large mixing bowl add your 16 ounces of cream cheese and what I have here is two eight

Ounce blocks of cream cheese Next you add in your one can of sweetened condensed milk And the sweetened condensed milk almost has a caramel light consistency to it it’s very creamy in texture now add your 1/3 cup of key lime juice and I squeeze the Von’s and it was 12 limes used to make the 1/3 cup of juice and now add in

Your key lime zest and this is the zest of four key limes and reserve about a third of your zest to go on top of the finished pie and now you want to take your handheld mixer and mix this together until it’s smooth and it’s best to work with room-temperature cream

Cheese because it’s the easiest to get all of the lumps out and my cream cheese was not completely at room temperature so you’ll see I do have some fine lumps at the end but it’s best to work with a product that’s already at room temp if

You do end up with some lumps in your final product it’s okay it’s not going to hurt the taste of the pie at all so now you want to take your mixture and spoon it into your pie crust and this is a prepared graham cracker pie crust but

You can do your own however I just decided to go with a prepared one to make it a little bit simpler and faster to complete now some may like a little bit of a firmer paw so if you want to let it sit for longer than two hours that’s fine

And some people may even put it in the freezer kind of give it a little shock blast for a couple of hours and that’s also fine depending on how said you want your car to be and here we have the finished product you can take the remaining key

Lime zest and sprinkle it on the top of your pie and then also you can cut up some of the key limes into smaller pieces and use them as a garnish but some on top of the pie whatever your heart so desires and it’s a very delicious recipe and just the right

Amount of sweet and tartness And there you have it again a very simple easy decadent recipe only 20 minutes prep time two hours in the fridge and then you’re ready to enjoy so if you like this video please give it a thumbs up and also please comment below what your favorite pie recipe is and

  1. Oh! You still used the cream cheese I see. Can you omit/substitute cream cheese because I found a recipe in a magazine that used only condensed milk with sour cream.
I thought it would be great since I didn't have cream cheese handy! (Albeit, most will probably have cream cheese before condensed milk kicking around, lol).
I had the cans of condensed milk from making nanaimo bars last year for Christmas.

  2. I used the recipe on the nut pie crust pkg and the recipe called for condensed milk. It DID NOT specify sweetened milk. Guess how my pie tasted.

  3. New subscriber. You have made the recipe my mom made. I was looking for it on You Tube. Thank you so much!
It is a lovely simple pie. Brings back fond memories πŸ™‚ I would love to see more recipes from the 1950s & 60s. Mom also made a a banana cream pie, using a graham cracker crust. She poured blueberry pie filling over the banana filling and piped whipped cream around the edge with banana slices. I have never seen anyone else make this pie. It was so pretty to cut into. ~ Diane

  4. Hello, I just made the pie. I will have a slice tomorrow. Thank you, it's soooooo simple.❀

  5. I made this key lime pie last night, put in the fridge to settle. We both woke up to sample it at 5a.m., omg πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜… it was delicious!!

  6. I didn't hear how many oz are required of condensed milk. Most recipes say a 14oz can when all of the cans I see only have 300ml or 10oz. Is it ok to just use only 10oz? I Like this video!!
