One of Cambodian comfort food is Lemongrass Paste BBQ Beef Stocks. You’ll see them at almost any parties, street food, festivals, and on Khmer New Years. Yes I love Khmer Beef Sticks!
Ingredients:
6 lbs beef
1 cup lemongrass paste
1/2 cup garlic oil or any oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon salt
1 Tablespoon chicken soup mix
1 Tablespoon fried garlic
1 Tablespoon rice wine
1 Tablespoon spoon soy sauce
Done it nice steamy put that right there there comodin lemongrass paste beef sticks pretty popular so in here I have six lound of beef this is round beef I just only uh take the fat and the meat okay six lb and I’m going to put one cup of codan lemongrass
Paste this is garlic oil basically you just fry the garlic and you save the oil so that’s garlic oil then I’m going to put one tablespoon of chicken buyant one tablespoon of salt half cup of sugar if you want it sweet and savory if you want less sugar you can go for less
Sugar and then next is the Chinese barbecue flavor add that in this is G fried garlic want to give a nice garlic flavor to it uh right rice cooking wine and your soy sauce yes your soy sauce soy sauce help tenderized the meat and give it a nice flavor so just mix
This go ahead and clean um your bamboo stick and little soak in water then we’re going to skew the meat okay you’re going to get beef you want to go horizontally that halfway keep going see there you go flat so these uh six PB make about 37 stick
So I’m going to air fry this in my air fryer and put this see Power I’m going to use the one for steak I say steak at 400 for 6 minute and then you’re just going to push play there you go okay see all right we see how it look like see let
See okay it looks kind of undercooked so I’m going to flip it it and I’m going to cook it for maybe another 6 minute or so okay all righty in another six minute power on Stick again and then hit play okay now the 6 minutes almost done done okay
Nice stey R hot careful here we go all righty this one put that right there there it’s nice color look like it’s pretty Juicy nice and glazed all right there you go that’s how you make Cambodian lemongrass paste beef sticks pretty popular it’s good good taste the the yeah okay how about garlic wise texture of the meat and stuff it’s tender it’s tender mhm yeah and this is only marinate uh I let
Marinate for 1 hour only you know I have to do the video so you let it sit overnight the meat could become more tender because of the you know the soy sauce help it tenderize the meat the oil and the wine so you let it um overnight it’s even better ready it 1
To 10 what do you give you know since it wasn’t marinated or if I throughout the whole day is like I give it eight eight but it was like marinated all the way then probably like a nine nine okay it’s fair enough so you want it more
Flavor just let it sit you know overnight or so and uh normally you eat this with um papaya salad or some kind of vegetable pickle and that would be on another video and if you like this video don’t forget to give it a like a comment
