Just purchased a new slate a few days ago. I’ve cooked on it 3 times so far. I did put a few coats of seasoning on it even know you don’t have to. So far it’s been great. The heat has been pretty consistent a crossed the griddle top. It’s super sturdy, and has a lot of storage and table top prep/cooking space. The lid is pretty solid and now wobbly. My only gripe would be the caster wheels, they feel a little cheap and don’t roll well. I would’ve liked to see some rubber rollerblade style casters. I can always upgrade those on my own. I’m really liking it so far, in case anyone is on the fence about this griddle. I looked at all the big names out there. I couldn’t put my hands on a halo before purchasing so my options really were Traeger and Weber. Weber just had the flatrock beat in a lot of categories.

Beautiful. Enjoy!
What parts of the Weber Works system came with it?
No way! You’re the first to post this (I think)
Jealous bro
The Flatrock is just so bloody expensive, I can’t imagine justifying it over the Slate.
I’m getting mine Friday. I’m hoping for 20 years of service from it, like my genesis.
Yours looks great, especially with all the prep space in use but not crowded.
Very nice! I see one in my future
