Got the 1/2 bird, brown meat side on the lower 'enthusiasts-only' heat level, and then white meat as medium so I dont have to be on fire for the entire meal.
Crunch on the breading and juiciness of the chx were both 5/5.
Went at about 3.30pm on Saturday to rry and mitigate how busy I heard it can get, & it was still busy but the service was good & the food came out pretty quick.
Sides:
•Cheesey grits were the perfect comfort food flavor. •Black eyed peas were lacking flavor.
•Slaw was pretty sweet, which I like but might but others off.
•The mustard greens lacked the supposed pork flavor.
And for what matters – the heat. 'Damn hot' was exactly that. Initially I thought it was perhaps lacking, but then it built up to a crescendo that was seriously intense, before dissipating surprisingly quickly. Next day I paid for it on the toilet 🤣. Not for non-enthusiasts, just as the menu suggests.
